Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) conducted the Written Examination for the Direct Recruitment of Lecturers (Engineering / Non-Engineering) in Government Polytechnic Colleges 2017-18. TRB released a notification (No. 06/2017) regarding the recruitment of 1,058 Polytechnic Lecturers on 28th July.
As per the official press release, total 1,70,363 applications have been submitted for TRB Polytechnic Lecturer exam. TRB releases notification for teaching jobs and recruits applicants based on the merit scores in the exam. The original exam date was scheduled for 13th August 2017, however the exam date was later postponed to 16th September 2017.
The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQs on General Knowledge and Main subject. In the main subject, there will be 100 questions carrying 1 mark each and 40 questions carrying 2 marks each based on the subject chosen by the applicant. In the case of General Knowledge, there will be 10 questions carrying 1 mark each. The maximum marks in TRB Polytechnic exam will be 190.
